For the past 19 years through Hawaii Dawg O, many of our sponsors have been very supportive of our efforts for the G.R.A.C.E. Fund at UGA's Veterinary College which helps the poor with veterinary care. However, we do much more in our philanthropy. The Grace Memorial Foundation has given grants to numerous animal rescue organizations and UGA's building fund for the new Veterinary Teaching College.

For many years, we provided Christmas or Valentine's baskets for the Council on Aging's Meals on Wheels program for the dogs and their masters. Through the generosity of two of our sponsors, Boehringer-Ingleheim  and Hill's Pet Nutrition, Frontline Plus and 18lb bags of food were donated to go along with other "goodies" provided by local merchants. We can't tell you how appreciative these low income elderly folks are for someone to remember them on Valentine's Day.

For the past 18 years, we awarded scholarships to four deserving veterinary students. In addition, we awarded a scholarship to a graduate student with the College of Environmental Design. We sponsored a seeing eye dog in memory of Jim , our founder, who was legally blind. By contributing to other worthy organizations, we are keeping Jim Shearon’s vision alive, which was to "help all humans and animals in need".

We hope we can count on your attendance at the 18th annual "Hawaii Dawg O" luau on August 3 2024.  It is a great time to enjoy an evening out, while spending time with many "greats" of UGA, such as Coach Scott Stricklin, Coach Chris Haack, Loran Smith and many others.
